2.What did Descartes not Doubt in order to perform the first meditation?

(1) Descartes couldn't take the notion that he was mad because if he denies himself reason he could not do the meditations

(2) He assumes he is rational.

(3) He couldn't doubt his own logic or rationality or even language.
